Le Crayon Brule

by josh

Next Saturday night (March 18th) Frank and I are doing a small drawing show at The Drawing Club here in LA. Check out these images for more info. Pure drawing, doodles and other goodness will be up. It's going to be super rad, we're both excited to try out some new things and show some pieces we've been hiding away for a bit. Frank's piece is ink on Bristol paper and mine is pencil and gouache on Rives BFK.

its good, but regarding the top one (going off topic a lil), it makes me wonder why midgets, migrant workers and people that collect elvis commemorative china arent featured more in dynamic poses.

like warren ellis but more muted and less extreme and less sardonic.

Hello Plunderers:
Lots of lovely work by Josh and Nathan.
Frank's work is probably equally fine but none of the links work- unless this is a conceptual, piece in which case that might be the point- but I don't think it is. Particularly like stones in rooms.

josh new work, not liking it at all. Just my opinion, looks like a tornado's going on. he has good design skills, but all his tornado pieces doesn't flow for me.
Frank do more paintings. I hate to see all your painting in your site gone in exchange for digital. Let the people who can't paint do digital!

Hey guys, thanks for all the support, it's very encouraging. Ok, Dominic and Oskar, I hope to see you all on Saturday. Anonymous is right about everything in general (as usual); Neil, I'll work on those lines; Mark, I think Josh's tornado stuff is pretty cool, and the reason I took the paintings off my site was originally because I wasn't interested in doing paintings as commercial work. But that doesn't matter at the moment because the site is down anyway! I'll be working on a re-design soon that'll feature the full range of my work though.
