I did this spread for my former college Health magazine, USC. The feature was on a new facility that is going to be use primarily for stem cell research. I had a few different ideas on doing sort of a portrait of the building's new director, but in the end, the art director went for something showing more the energy and feeling of different scientists collaborating, etc. I researched different types of stem cells and came up with....jelly beans. Actually, I kept on drawing red blood cells which, apparently, are very different from stem cells.

josh is smart, he has found the easiest and fastest way to make illustrations, lucky for him this drawing style is in right now, just cant wait to see what he does if he ever has to paint something. haha
Josh, this piece is Dope with a capital "D". And to add to anonymous comments above, Josh is indeed smart for finding a simple way to make smart, simple illustration solutions. I think smart will always be "in".

Or is he the autistic offspring of inbred hicks, who is only allowed to post when on day release from the Sunny View Institution for the Moderately Angry and Confused?
