Swordsman Monster Slayer: MONSTER REVENGE!

Updated! I just finished the colors on these, it took a lot more work than I usually spend on coloring because I was trying out some new things. I had to break up the panels to make the color work, but that's fine, the whole thing was a big experiment, and I'd say it went rather well.

Hello,
This was a fun little compositional warm-up comic experiment that I co-wrote with my eight year-old brother. I still plan on coloring it; part of this experiment was leaving out information to be done with the colors on purpose. I'll post those when I get them finished.

that's looking cool!
hahha nice Frank. those dumb monsters.
that big panel on the last page kicks so much ass.
Love it!
Were you ever a fan of the old Jeff Jones comic work of the seventies ?
This is great. Can't wait to see it colored. You have to do more comics.
Hey guys, thanks for the positive feedback, I'm currently still working on the colors.
Alina, John, Nathan, thank you so much.
Dominique, yes I've seen the Jeff Jones comics from the 70's before and as I was illustrating the third page I started to think of that stuff, but I don't own any of it. I guess it's kind of in the vein of all those great artists that work similarly--Frazetta, Jones, Wendling, and should mention that the second to the last panel on the third page is a reference to the old He-Man cartoons I grew up with.
James, Thanks, I enjoy doing comics the best.
hey frank,
i think i met you on your graduation day at art center - i just found your blog. great stuff!

To be honest I was a bit weary when you said you were going to color it because I really loved it B&W , but alas you've pulled it off, I'm loving the color version .
